Miss Frances is a new introduction from the Southern Living line with three seasons of breathtaking color. It produces lustrous green leaves with dark red flowers with an extended flowering season from late June until August. Miss Frances displays a round, spreading growth habit with large flower heads near the tips of the branches. New growth starts off with a reddish/light green tint, and darkening as it ages. Miss Frances also displays a beautiful, maroon, foliage in the autumn. The mature bark of Miss Frances is a greyed-orange color. This plant is suitable as an ornamental flowering tree or can be mass planted for a flowering hedge. At maturity, it can reach a height of 15 feet and a width of 8 feet.
